Fixed Income Funds in Kenya
These funds can hold government bonds, corporate debt and other fixed-income instruments. Compare published yields on the same reporting basis rather than mixing yields, total returns and old factsheets.
Updated · 27 Oct 2026: The table uses September 2026 average published yields from one common market report. “Net” is the source's figure after 15% withholding tax. These are yields, not guaranteed returns, and they can change as market rates and portfolios move.

September 2026 category average in the same report: 9.82% gross and 8.35% net. AMKA is not calling the highest September yield the “best fund”; fees, duration, credit risk, liquidity and consistency also matter. Verify the latest manager factsheet before investing.
Duration
How sensitive is the fund to rates?
Longer-duration portfolios usually move more when market interest rates change.
Credit
What debt does it own?
Government paper and corporate debt do not carry the same credit risk.
Return basis
Are the numbers comparable?
A yield, one-year total return and monthly performance figure should not be ranked as if they mean the same thing.
What changed on this page?
AMKA previously withheld the table because the available snapshots were stale or on different bases. A September 2026 report now gives a common reporting basis across multiple Kenyan fixed-income funds, so we can show that snapshot while keeping the period and tax basis explicit.
